Do you need help managing your references? Do you need help citing references in your documents? This online session will introduce you to Mendeley (www.mendeley.com) - a free programme which can help you to store, organise and retrieve your references and PDFs; as well as cite references in documents and create bibliographies quickly and easily.
Intended Audience: Postgraduate students, researchers and university and OUH staff based on the Old Road Campus or in Medical Sciences Division departments elsewhere in Headington - this session is specifically planned for the Medical Sciences and will not be appropriate for other subject areas. Online booking requires your SSO (Oxford University Single Sign On). However, if you are an OUH staff member and do not have an SSO you may book by emailing email@example.com directly from your OUH email address - make sure you give us the title(s) and date(s) of any workshops you want to book onto!
Notice of recording
Each live online training session will be recorded for accessibility and inclusivity reasons, and will be shared with all attendees after the session. It may also be put onto Canvas (Oxford University’s virtual learning environment) to enable other Oxford University members with SSO to view it.

Format: Online presentation through Microsoft Teams, with practical exercises
What you will need:
1. You will need to have downloaded Mendeley Desktop to your desktop.
2. You will need to have a Mendeley account set up (DON'T use the “Sign in via your institution” option; simply Enter your email).
3. To attend the session you will need to have the Microsoft Teams desktop app installed, or log in with a browser (must be Chrome or Edge). Please read our guidance notes below on using Teams. You will need a speaker and microphone for listening and speaking. You need to be online with a reliable internet connection.
