Bodleian iSkills for the Medical Sciences Division and OUH staff: Introduction to Endnote

Do you need help managing your references? Do you need help citing references in your documents? This session will introduce you to Endnote X9, which can help you to store, organise and retrieve your references and PDFs, as well as cite references in documents and create bibliographies quickly and easily.

Objectives:

  • understand what Endnote is and what it can do for you
  • import references from PubMed
  • import references directly from a database such as Ovid Embase
  • import references from Google Scholar
  • manage PDFs
  • deduplicate references in an Endnote Library
  • create a bibliography
  • cite references in Word documents

Intended Audience:   Postgraduate students, researchers and university and OUH staff based on the Old Road Campus or in Medical Sciences Division departments elsewhere in Headington.

Dates and booking:

Online booking requires your SSO (Oxford University Single Sign On).  However, if you are an OUH staff member and do not have an SSO you may book by emailing usered@bodleian.ox.ac.uk directly from your OUH email address - make sure you give us the title(s) and date(s) of any workshops you want to book onto!

Please note:  For any undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers and university staff NOT based in the Medical Sciences Division, we run a FREE Referencing: Endnote workshop at the IT Learning Centre on Banbury Road.

Endnote is now free of charge for Oxford University members on both University-owned or personal computers.
