AR/VR Unity a practical Introduction
This course will teach you how to use Unity 3D: one of the most popular game engines for Immersive Technologies. You will explore the most important building blocks of Unity: game objects, scenes and prefabs. You will import assets in a scene and interact with them using a user interface (UI). In this course we will also touch upon scripting in Unity, which is a powerful feature that makes Unity so easy to use.
AR/VR Virtual Reality app on mobile devices
The aim of this course is to introduce Virtual Reality (VR) for applications in a research environment. You will learn the fundamentals of VR and you will be guided step-by-step to create your first VR mobile application. The app will run on a Google Cardboard (or similar) headset and allow you to teleport in a virtual world, interact with virtual objects, hear sounds and track your body. The app you will develop is also suitable for other mobile VR headsets as you will use the GoogleVR SDK. At the end of the course there will be a consulting section where you can discuss the development of your own idea with the teachers.
