E-books and Reference Works

E-books may be found on SOLO  just like print titles and are accessible through the green 'view online' button and through a link in the catalogue record.  (Note that the red 'view online' button is for legal deposit books that can only be consulted on the premises of one of the Bodleian Libraries.

Library collections for linguistics:

  • Taylor Institution Library research collection - General Linguistics, Phonology, Phonetics
  • Taylor Institution Teaching Collection - comprising reading list materials and other introductory works
  • Linguistics of a particular language are within the relevant library
  • Psycholinguistics and child language acquisition in the Radcliffe Science LIbrary
  • Applied Linguistics in the Education Library

Books with the location 'closed stack' can be requested online via SOLO to any of the Bodleian Libraries' reading rooms and will arrive within 24 hours. You'll be notified by e-mail when your requested title has arrived.

Any book with the status 'available' may be borrowed.
