The GeoRef database from the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) provides access to the geoscience literature of the world from 1666 to the present. It is hosted on the Ovid platform.

SCOPUS is a multi-subject database that provides access to journal articles and other academic resources for topics including development studies, the earth sciences, ecology, geomechanics, human geography, and oceanography.

Web of Science is a multidisciplinary source of scholarly research articles, books and conference proceedings. Coverage dates back to 1900 for the sciences. Multiple databases are included, of which Web of Science Core Collection is of key interest to earth scientists. The Journal Citation Reports and Essential Science Indicators tools are also included.
