The Institute of Historical Research (IHR) provides resources for historians, including a major research library, digital projects, seminars and lectures.

It publishes details of university lecturers in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, current and past historical research, digital history projects, new books and journals from a range of leading publishers and sources of funding available for researchers.

This database currently holds more than 53,000 records, and new material is added regularly.

You will need your Single Sign On to access most of these resources if you are not connected to the Oxford network, although some important free sites are included as well.

Sign on to SOLO, or Databases A-Z  using your Single Sign On. This allows you to access most e-resources as if you were on campus.
