How to find books

You can locate books (both print and electronic) held in Oxford University libraries by looking them up on SOLO, Oxford libraries' catalogue,  at

Are you looking for a specific book?

Enter the author's surname and a few significant words from the title. Leave out words like 'the', 'an', 'of' etc. To limit your results to books, use the Resource Type filter and select Books.

Are you only interested in books held by the Rewley House Continuing Education Library?

On the main SOLO search screen, open the 'search everything' drop down menu and scroll down to select 'Continuing Education Library'.

Are you looking books on a topic?

You can search SOLO to find books on a topic. If you are looking for books on a British archaeology topic after 55BC, the Bibliography of British and Irish History can help you do a more structured search for books and book chapters, allowing you to specify the exact dates you are interested in.
