How to find books on SOLO
You can locate books (both print and electronic) held in Oxford University libraries by looking them up on SOLO, Oxford libraries' catalogue, at http://solo.bodleian.ox.ac.uk
Are you looking for a specific book?
Enter the author's surname and a few significant words from the title. Leave out words like 'the', 'an', 'of' etc
Are you only interested in books held by the Rewley House Continuing Education Library?
On the main SOLO search screen, open the 'search everything' drop down menu and scroll down to select 'Continuing Education Library'.
To find the book in the Library:
Click on 'Find & Request'. You will see a list of one or more Libraries that hold the item click on the > to see copies in the Continuing Education Library. Please note: do not pay any attention to the notice 'Request not available'. This does not mean anything in the context of the Continuing Education Library and you can simply ignore it.

Sackler LibraryThe Sackler Library is one of the principal research libraries of the University of Oxford and specialises in Archaeology, Art History, and Classics (Ancient History and Literature). It incorporates the constituent departmental libraries of the Ashmolean Museum and strongly reflects the collection strengths of the Museum.

Bodleian LibraryThe Bodleian Library holds many UK publications on archaeology and topography. Many books are on closed access and must be ordered from the stacks. Books on open access are mainly in the Lower Gladstone Link.

Balfour LibraryThe Balfour Library is housed in the Pitt Rivers Museum. It holds the University’s research collections on the archaeology of sub-Saharan Africa, the Americas and Australasia. They are held together with the collections on the ethnography of these areas. The Balfour Library also holds works on the Palaeolithic period worldwide and on the theory and methods of archaeology
