This guide is intended for students studying English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford, although any students working in this field may find it useful.
Use this guide to find out about books and online resources for literature in English 1350-1550, including ebooks, ejournals and bibliographic databases.
This LibGuide has been created for remote working in 2020/21 and therefore entirely focuses on online resources. If you need help finding or using any of the online resources you can email us at email@example.com. If you encounter any technical difficulties please email the Bodleian e-resources team. See the full list of LibGuides here.
Why use online resources?
Databases can help you locate references to books and journal articles on a particular topic, as well as providing electronic access to literary and non-literary texts. You can print, download or email information retrieved from most of these.
For access to the majority of resources covered in this guide, go to the English section of the subject list on Databases A-Z. You will also find useful resources in the Linguistics, Newspapers, and History sections.
