Regent's Park College Home: Click & Collect

Regent's Park College

Click & Collect system

Access to library shelves will be severely limited this term, as the shelves cannot be browsed while anyone is sitting in front of them.

To ensure the best chance of getting hold of the books you want, the new Click & Collect process is the best option.

How it works

When you are logged into SOLO, using your SSO access, the first step is to find books that are held in Regent's Park College library.

In the part of the record where you see the RPC shelfmark, there will now also be a 'Request' button. Press this button and follow the on-screen prompts to order this book from the college library.

Every morning library staff are sent a list of all the books requested on the previous day. Every lunchtime, Monday to Friday, we will fetch the books from the shelves, and leave them in bags, labelled with your name, on the tables outside the library.

You will receive two emails, the first from the library system to tell you the books are on their way. Do not come to collect them until you have received the second email, from library staff, confirming that they are ready to collect.

Quarantining books

Books will be quarantined when they are returned by students before they can be borrowed again. Even more than usual, this term, it will be important for you to plan ahead as much as possible. Request books as soon as you know what you need, to make sure that you have them in time for your essay or assignment reading.
