Bodleian iSkills: Online resources for Modern European languages

The session will give an introduction to online resources for MML at Oxford, including how to find relevant material for your subject, as well as looking in more detail at bibliographic databases, e-books, and reference works. There will be a hands-on component to this session, and participants should bring a laptop so they can work through exercises designed to introduce them to language-specific resources. Subject librarians will be on-hand to answer questions and give advice.


  • Understand the different types of online resources available at Oxford for Modern Languages
  • Know how to discover new resources using LibGuides and A-Z of databases
  • Know how to access further help and information

Intended Audience: Undergraduate students, postgraduate students, researchers in modern European languages.

What will you need? Please bring your own laptop with WiFi enabled.
