If you are needing somewhere to hot desk or just to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy office, the Bodleian Health Care Libraries offers a variety of different desk spaces to suit your needs. Feel free to bring along your own laptop, as there are power sockets and Wi-Fi facilities available to you. Hot drinks are welcome in the library, we just ask that you bring these in a covered cup.
If you need space for small group discussion, at the Cairns Library, we have a group study room and group study pod, with capacity for up to six people and easy to use plasma screen. You simply plug in your device! Bookings can be made for the same week by filling in the booking sheet outside each room. The Knowledge Centre has a Group Study/Training Room. There’s seating for up to twelve people with moveable furniture allowing flexible layout. You can use the data projector and projector screen and there are 6 laptops with access to networked data points. The room can be booked by calling the Knowledge Centre Help Desk on (01865) (2)89410 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
For larger training sessions, we have our Beeson training room which has nine NHS computers and eight University computers, two trainer PCS, a projector, amplifier, whiteboard and Wi-Fi access. Please email email@example.com to book. All our meeting rooms can be booked free of charge.
24 hour access to study and IT facilities is provided at the Cairns Library, using your library card to gain access as normal.
The NOC library also provides 24 hour access, via a fob available on application. Please speak to a member of staff at the NOC library.
The Horton Library is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
The Knowledge Centre is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
