UK Web Archive

Thousands of UK websites have been collected since 2004. The UK Web Archive is designed to appeal to users across a wide spectrum of interest and knowledge. It can also be used to find good examples when you create a new website.

 The home of free learning from The Open University.

Oxford resources

Bodleian Libraries subscription resources for Computing can be accessed via Databases A-Z. Scroll down the subject listings on the left side of the screen and select Computing. You will need your Single Sign On to access most of these resources if you are not connected to the Oxford network, although some important free sites are included as well.

To access electronic journals and Databases A-Z off campus:

Sign on to SOLO, or Databases A-Z using your Single Sign On. This allows you to access most e-resources as if you were on campus. 

The Single Sign On is available to all students on award bearing courses who hold a full University card

British Computer Society (BCS)


The British Computer Society is a professional body and a learned society that represents those working in Information Technology both in hte United Kingdom and internationally.
