Guide for weekly class students: Ewert House Student Resource Room

A guide to library services and resources for weekly class students

What is the Student Resource Room?

If  your course is based at Ewert House, you can use the Student Resource Room which is located next to the Weekly Class Office on the ground floor.

The room is equipped with 3 PCs which are the same as the PCs in the Library. You can use these to:

  • Search SOLO , the library catalogue, to find books on your subject and check their availability before visiting the Library.
  • Access the huge range of electronic resources subscribed to by the University - see Electronic Resources for more information.

How do I access the Student Resource Room?

You have to log in to the PCs and to do this, you will need your library card and associated password. You therefore need to become a member of the Library - see How do I join the Library?

If you already have a library card but do not have a password, please contact the Library.

To get into the room, you should first obtain the door code from the Weekly Class Office. Once in the room, you will find instructions on how to log onto the PCs.
