IP Legislation Quick Start

As with the rest of the Law Library's collections, legislation is grouped according to the originating legislation arranged by jurisdiction.

For the latest news and updates about Intellectual Property legislation in the UK, you can check the Intellectual Property Office website (free). You can also find more information about the different types of IP and how they are created here.

For more information about IP on an international level, try the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website (free).

For current UK legislation, holders of an Oxford SSO should use either of the subscription databases via first 2 links below.

If you don't have an Oxford SSO, then use the Halsbury's Statutes and Current Law Statutes Annotated services in the KZ section on Level 2 to try to track down the current state of legislation.
