BMJ Best Practice – Straight to the point of care
You now have access to BMJ Best Practice
The online point of care tool BMJ Best Practice – which gives healthcare professionals fast and easy access to the latest information when making diagnosis and treatment decisions – is now available to all NHS staff.
Updated daily, BMJ Best Practice draws on the latest evidence-based research, guidelines and expert opinion to offer step-by-step guidance on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and prevention. BMJ Best Practice is available online in a web browser with an NHS OpenAthens account, and as a mobile app with a BMJ personal account.
OUH staff can also get direct access to BMJ Best Practice (without logging-in to OpenAthens) via the link on the front page of the OUH Intranet.
Steps to log in via NHS OpenAthens:
NHS OpenAthens (previously called Athens) is the single username and password for nearly all the online library resources purchased for NHS staff. To register and for more information see our online guide.
