Ancient Near Eastern Studies: Training

The Sackler Library is the premier research library for Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford. It incorporates the libraries previously housed in the Griffith Institute and the Ashmolean Museum.

Library Induction (for Undergraduates and new Graduates)

The EANES Subject Librarian will give a Library Induction, followed by a brief tour of the Sackler Library, 7 October 12:15-13:00 (venue: Sackler Library Floor 2 Meeting Room). Additionally, new students are encouraged to attend one of the 30-minute Welcome tours at the Sackler Library which will be your main Subject Library at Oxford. Just drop into one of the tours which are running 4-14 October, bookings are not required. A Sackler Library induction video will also  help you to find your way around this hub library.

For their new readers the Bodleian Libraries will provide a general Welcome video information for which are included in the information packs handed out by the Colleges.
