About the library

The Philosophy Faculty Library is a lending library in support of research, teaching and learning for staff and students of the Faculty of Philosophy, its joint schools and related disciplines. The library is part of a large range of provision for philosophy at Oxford and compliments the Bodleian's vast reference collection and the University's ever increasing electronic books and journals collection.

 

Membership

Library membership is open to all students and academic staff of the University and Academic Visitors holding a University Card.

 

Borrowing

Undergraduates and Visiting Students 12 books
Graduates and Senior Members 12 books and 5 periodicals
Philosophy Faculty and Graduates 20 books and 5 periodicals
 

Returning and renewing

Readers are responsible for returning and renewing items lent to them.

Fines are charged for late returns.
