Bodleian iSkills
Bodleian iSkills workshops and classes run every term and are designed to help you to make effective use of library and other information resources in print and online.

These practical workshops are free and will usually take place at IT Services. Book online via the Course website.  Please cancel your place if you cannot attend.

Making the most of the Bodleian
These sessions are general ones, providing a practical introduction to the Bodleian within the context of the Bodleian Libraries, with hands-on guidance in the use of the online catalogue, the automated stack request system, and electronic resources accessed through OxLIP+.

Undergraduates and visiting students do not need to attend these sessions, as their timetabled library inductions (even if not held at the Bodleian) will cover the same skills and knowledge.

EFL Training Sessions

The EFL will be offering training sessions in referencing this term (subject to demand). Each session will offer an introduction to referencing looking at specific examples, demonstrate how to use Word or Google Docs to add references, and then offer guidance on using reference management software. After the session there will be an opportunity for questions.

Sessions will take place at the following times:

3rd Week, Wednesday 5th Feb, 11am
5th Week, Monday 17th Feb, 11am
7th Week, Friday 6th Mar, 12pm

If you already feel mostly comfortable with referencing but have specific questions relating to unusual items, or if you would just like training on reference management software, you are encouraged to come to a drop-in session on Monday afternoons in term time, or email to book an appointment with a librarian.
