2017 was the 200th anniversary of the death of Jane Austen. To commemorate this, the Rewley House Continuing Education Library has published this guide to highlight resources for studying the life, times and works of Jane Austen, including both Bodleian Libraries and wider resources.

  How to find things

Search SOLO to find books, e-books and journal titles.

Use OxLIP+ to search bibliographic databases, online resources and individual e-journals.

You will find more information on searching for library resources in the Finding Resources area of the library website.

Continuing Education Collection - Books

The Library has various editions of the works of Jane Austen shelved at 823.7 AUS.

There is also a range of critical works shelved after the texts, eg a critical work by Bradbrook is shelved at 823.7 AUS/B

All titles held by the Library are catalogued on SOLO, the catalogue for most Oxford libraries

  • Emma (Directed by Douglas McGrath, starring Gwyneth Paltrow)
  • Sense and Sensibility (Directed by Lee Ang, starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslett)
