Are you scanning an item that is smaller than A4, B5 or A5?
To make sure the photocopier detects the item you are trying to scan:
- Place the item on the glass in the top left hand corner in landscape orientation
- Move it along to the right horizontally until ‘Original’ at the top of the display panel changes from being ‘Auto’ to either A5 or B5
Are you scanning an item that is larger than A4 but smaller than A3?
To ensure part of the text isn’t cut off:
- Place the item in landscape orientation on the glass
- Move it along to the right hand edge of the glass, up to the horizontal A3 marker at the top of the glass
- Check the display panel, which should now say‘A3’ next to ‘Original’
Do you need to scan some double sided papers?
- Select ‘Original’ at the top of the display panel
- Select either ‘2-Sided Booklet’ or ‘2 Sided Tablet’ as appropriate to the format of the pages being scanned (there is a picture next to each of these options on the panel to demonstrate this)
- Select ‘OK’
- Place the pages in the feeder and proceed with the scanning process
Do your scans not arrive in your email inbox?
- There is a limit to the file size that can be sent. It is 10MB for Oxford University.
- Check your Junk mail folders and filter settings.
